Upon your arrival in Guwahati, proceed to the location that will be provided to you closer to your arrival date. Here, you will meet your fellow travelers for the Ziro Festival of Music. The adventure begins!
Our team will brief you on the plan, introduce you to your fellow travelers, and help you stock up on necessary supplies. Get ready for an unforgettable train journey. Meet us again at the Guwahati railway station to board your train at 9 pm for an overnight journey to Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh.
Wake up in Naharlagun and board the Sumos waiting outside to transport you to the campsite, a journey of approximately four hours. The campsite is just a 10-minute walk from the Ziro Festival venue. By noon, after a somewhat bumpy ride, you'll arrive in the golden valley of Ziro.
Upon reaching our camp village, check-in and refresh yourself with a mug (or several) of “Apong” (the local rice beer) and various types of locally brewed wine, while a delicious lunch awaits you (on the house). Afterward, gear up and get ready for the Ziro Festival! Spend the rest of the day and night enjoying the festivities or simply taking in the beauty around you. Remember, this is just Day 1 of the festival!
For the next four days, dive deep into the enchanting experiences this beautiful valley has to offer. We've planned a range of activities to help you fully embrace and understand the land before you return home. Time seems to fly in Ziro. You'll spend your days walking through pine forests, singing around campfires, dancing at the festival, meeting new friends, visiting picturesque Apatani homes, jamming together, partying in the campsite, and wading through the mud in your gum boots. These moments will reveal the true beauty of coming together in such a magical place. By the week's end, Ziro will feel like your home away from home, and you'll already be looking forward to next year's Ziro Festival.
Take your time waking up in the morning. Once you're feeling refreshed, join us at the community dining area for a hearty farewell breakfast before you set off for your journey back home. Today marks your last day at the Ziro Festival, at least for now. Cherish the moments with your fellow campers as you bid goodbye. Then, by 10 am, start boarding your vehicles to commence your trip back to Naharlagun Railway Station.
